"Trust In The Lord"

Proverbs 3: 5-6

Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not to thy own understanding, in all thy ways acknowledge Him and He will direct thy path.

We as a people trust in everything but God. We trust in our transportation to get us from point A to point B. We trust in our homes to give us shelter, especially in Minnesota when the temperature outside right now is 35 degrees below zero. We trust in our employers to keep us employed. We trust in our government to keep us safe and to meet our needs. We trust in all this modern day gadgets; cell phones, micro-waves, and thousands of others gadgets.
But it's hard for us to believe God word.Paul wrote in Philippians 4:19, And my God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.We must trust God.
In Psalms 24:1, tells us that the earth's is the Lord and the fullness thereof; and they that dwell therein. Jesus died that all of us might have a right to the tree of Life. John 3:16 says "For God so love the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him, should not perish, but shall have everlasting Life. So if we are to have everlasting life we must trust in the Lord. Because "the earth is the Lord,s" all of us are stewards,or caretakers. We should be committed to the proper management of this world and its resources, but we are not to become devoted to anything created or act as sole proprietors because this world will pass away.(1 John 2:17)

Family Information

Pastor Bonner and his wife Minister Kathelean Bonner have been blessed with 36 years of marriage and two biological children, 2 adopted children and over 70 foster children. Most of them has become good citizens. My daughter, Sheila Gant is married and has two children and works as the youth choir director, and my son Henry Jr. is married and has three children and he is the drummer for the church. The last twenty-four years in fostering these children has been a blessing. We believe God blessed us with these angels to give them the opportunity to be a blessing to society. We pray that all of our children will get involved in the church.

Pastor's History With The Church

The New Birth Missionary Baptist Church, (formerly named Peace Hill Baptist Church) began its existence in February 1988. At that time, there were 13 members, including children. After several changes in leadership, The Rev. Henry Lee Bonner, B.A./M.Th., was called to pastor the church in February 1994.
Under the leadership of Pastor Bonner, New Birth purchased the property at 983 Central Avenue, in St. Paul, and held its first service at its new edifice in February 1998. Walking "by faith and not by sight" and trusting in the vision of Pastor Bonner, the church has grown 13 peoples to over 50 or more families.
